The method itself is probably worth 2.5 to 3.5 stars (an no way it can be done impromptu unless done
with only two boxes/cups/caps/etc because it requires a set up for having more than two) but I'm
giving the whole product only one start mainly because the advertising video was clearly edited to
deliberately mislead the costumers, who in this case are not innocent spectators but fellow
magicians, in order to cheat them out of their honest money! And because the whole thing is way
overpriced.
In the video when you see the first phase of the routine where he finds the
ring between the two boxes I'd bet most people won't be impressed and can have a pretty good guess
how he does it. But WHAT SELLS this trick in my opinion is the second phase of the routine on the
video (starting min 2:09) where he has eight boxes on the table and supposedly tells his spectator
to "place the ring in any box" she wants. That part of the video has been carefully edited to
falsely and deliberately mislead the costumer in to believing that the spectator can freely place
the object in any of the eight boxes on the table. That is simply NOT TRUE.
I don't want
to give the method away but you do not start by giving the audience the free choice of placing the
object in any of the eight boxes on the table as is NOT SUGGESTED but rather SHOWN on the trailer.
Yes, the spectator will end up mixing eight boxes but will not be given the option of putting the
ring in any of the eight boxes initially. I think if he had shown a full demonstration of his act
without deliberate misleading edit many even novice magicians would easily guess the method.
Neither the gimmick nor the tutorial nor both combined are worth the price asked for this
product. This should at best be a direct download and worth at most $10-15 depending on how
generous one wants to be.

I saw some previous comments here said that the trailer does not show what the effect really looks
like in audience point of view, etc. I kind of disagree since the outcome depends on the choice made
by audience in the very beginning, without reveal the core method. I can say that Occultatum
delivered what it promised: a solid mental magic effect.
Without bashing most other
products in the junk of magic product ocean these days, Occultatum introduced a new system to
deliver ‘which hand’ type of effect, and in the instruction video Menny step by step taught us how
to build up the layer of impossible to audience point of view. I don’t know if that really irritate
previous reviewers but for me Menny provides all props, instructional download video, impromptu
set-up, plus much more tips compare with his Murphy’s lecture briefly taught this effect. I really
think my money’s worth.
Occultatum is a promising ‘which hand’ type of effect without using
high end electronics, thread or magnets, and it is 100% accuracy and I recommend it to anyone who
want something practical in their repertoire.

This is really clever. The routine is fairly simple with one good out if it doesn't go as planned.
The video does not show the out, but it is possibly better than the planned version. Because of
this, it is 100%.
It can be done with nearly any objects, the tins are a little too much
in my pockets -I like the business card method. This can be done on stage too. The 2-hour video
covers everything in detail - including a half dozen or so presentations.
Again, this is
easy to do, and it is a worker! A great piece of mentalism!
Six out of 5 stars

The tins are impractical and hard to see without good lighting, the trick is not 100 percent, you
know eventually where the item is but not at first, The magician is hard to understand at times on
the video. Its a clever way of elimination but I think overpaid for it. Not the worst trick I ever
bought but not the best either...

Well, the spectator cannot put the item in any of the 8 tins he wishes, there is a cutting and
editing in the demo , you won’t understood till you see the whole performance, about the bottle caps
the method he teaches is not exactly as he performs, because i’m familliar with these specifics caps
of the eagle beer's, and he is using, i take a close look on them , by pausing the demo, screen
shooting and zooming in, he uses same idea as same as with the tins.plus the method and idea is a
very old school and not perfect and not 100% proof , in some performance it is a 50/50 .

So clever and fooling. Its pure menralism at its best! This concept can be applyed to so many things
so the real pros would really appreciate it!
Menny takes you step by step and teaches the real
psychology behind it. Its a must for any mentalist to add to his arsenal.

I purchased Occultatum by Menny Lindenfeld, and as soon as I was done with instructional Video and a
little bit of practice,I started performing it for others, Blowing minds all over NJ.. Some people
said I was the Devil LOL, and the looks i get when finding the hidden Item in the tins are looks of
amazement, I have also done Occultatum using sweet and Low packets as well as my business cards,
works 100% of the Time, I am so Happy with this Purchase. totally worth the 50.00 I spent on it. I
am looking forward to see what Menny comes uop with next..

Menny's new principle in magic, THE OCCULTUM 50/50 PRINCIPAL expands beyond mentalism and close up
and is applicable to all other venues.
His NEW invention broadens the spectrum of flawless
presentation, leaving audiences no idea where to begin to look for an answer, other to believe that
the magician has skills beyond human comprehension.
I would rate this GIFT to magic far
beyond FIVE STARS because though it is a brand new principle it BELONGS in the FOUNDATIONS of magic.
How the founders of mentalism,'Theo' Annemann and Phil Goldstein (Max Maven ) missed
inventing this is also a wonder.
But like "they" say better late then never"
It looks
like, on occasion, something new does grow under the sun!
Thank you Menny Lindenfeld!

Menny has done it again. I knew upon pre order this would be great - you get so much for your $$$
and worth every penny. The props dont scream "magic" and you can even use every day things as listed
in the bio that youll learn on the instructional. I received this the day it released and am
extremely excited to get started with this. Thank you Penguin and Menny Lindenfeld for this amazing
release. If you are a mentalist, looking for something diff then cards for a change, pick this up
today before it goes away!
