I think it has some good stuff in it, but the instructions are a little hard to follow at times and it could be a little clearer and have better illustrations. If you are able to figure out what the text is trying to describe to you I think there is some decent stuff in there. Not my best purchase on here, but I don't regret it either. Serious mentalists should probably have this one in their library, and I think it's worth the read even aside from the "tricks".

First things first, every technique and effect taught here is worth the price of the book alone. So I have to agree with other reviewers and recommend the purchase.

However, I only gave it 2 stars because the writing is, in my opinion, horrible. The book doesn't follow a common format (Intro/Effect/Method, for example), but the format varies from trick to trick, making the read much more difficult that it would be. Some techniques are over explained, but others lack description and are hard to read.

I would love to see a new edition with proper formatting and a revised writing, because the techniques taught here are truly gems.

I had a friend once. A self-styled mentalist by the name of Phil.

He once told me that if I was ever planning to add some mentalism to my adult act that I should call him and he would give me the real work on center tears, book tests and appearing canes. Well, I did. I was ten years old at the time and open to a hole, new world. I mean the whole world of mental magic.

This book has the hole thing. I mean just like with Phil, this book will offer you the MAXIMUM UNDERSTANDING. Minus the hole part. But that's a rainbow for another day!

I recommend that you purchase either this book or at least one that looks similar. Good luck all!
