Hi! This is your official PenguinMagic reviewer, B_Magic.
Flow is an ingenious effect that
really can be quite a reputation maker. The effect really is what you see in the demo. A bottle of
water is opened, turned upside-down, and doesn't spill out. You can put a toothpick in and the
audience can watch in amazement as it floats to the top of the bottle. At command, the bottle
empties out and the bottle is then completely examinable.
My main reason for giving this
effect only 3 stars is due to practicality. Unfortunately, this effect does take a small amount of
simple prep, however, carrying around a water bottle may not be the most practical thing for some
people (restaurant workers like myself). This is not an off-the-cuff effect.
The other
thing is that it really isn't the cleanest effect as your doing it. I found that I have to really
put some work into watching how I present the bottle as a perform it, otherwise the secret can be
caught. This trick is only mildly-examinable prior to dumping the water out. Afterwards, the trick
is fully examinable. That said, you will want to give the bottle a once-over after the effect is
finished before handing it out, to be sure that it really is fully examinable.
The effect
is a great one, just be prepared to put in a little extra practice and work that you might not have
expected. And if you are not willing to do a little prep each time you perform this, or carry a
water bottle on you all the time, this may not be the effect for you.

I tried numerous times to get this to set up in the bottle and was very frustrating. Did not work
for me.

Really good trick and the DVD was really well produced (which is always a nice touch). The effect is
pretty easy and the fact that the audience controls when the water falls is so great!

I really like this effect. It's one that happens in the spectators hands. This looks like
something that can be performed Live on Television so do not pass this up. It's practical and has a
10 second setup to it. You cannot borrow a bottle but you can have a bottle prepared and it's
literally self working from there on in. The teaching Hannah section is refreshing and new. Flow
will forever be in my arsenal. There are really no downs to this.

this differs from the original in that the effect happens in the spec's hands, making this even more
powerfull...quick set up, and the toothpick part is even a cooler elevation

This is a great trick (and a very, very, very clever principle that will go totally undetected by
the spectators) for any performer, especially for those magicians who perform single tricks on the
street. However it is not as suitable for restaurant magic and/or parlour as one might think -
However it will work there as well with a little bit of prep. Good job Dan!

Any reviews trying to put this trick at any lower then 4 stars is RIDICULOUS! This is an amazingly
organic feat to accomplish! The smartest of people will be stumped during a proper performance of
this... and everything is completely examinable, its in their hands the whole time! The biggest
brain shock is when you put the toothpick into the water and it floats up through to the top...
Pros
-for the most part completely hands off and examinable during the effect(somewhat) and
after 100%
-very easy to perform, all about presentation
-super organic
-defying
gravity, HUGE IMPACT for people
-i consider this practical applied to the right situation, it
will not be a repeat effect unless you want to carry around tons of water bottles around. but it
will be that effect that you can have one or two bottles prepped in your backpack(or whatever you
use) and ready to go for when you want to astonish a particular group
cons
-although I
consider this practical, some people have complained about the fact that they don't want to have to
carry around a gimmicked bottle. It really is up to what "you" are comfortable with... all and all
it is practical if you aren't whining.
-will need refills
overall I would give this
10/5 ... just buy it
Love the effect, wish I had thought of it. Has a few limitations as the bottle used has to be set up
and or switched for the one your going to use as you can't just walk up to someone who has a bottle
of water and perform it. But I am glad I got it as I can use it for sure.
This is a great effect by a talented magician. This is very practical all you have to do is get a
water bottle from some where have the gimmick in your pocket and go around the corner and set it up
which is pretty easy. This effect blows minds! My favorite way to present it is to kneel under the
bottle when they turn it over. This is so cool because when you get the water to come out if you
have a skeptic the can hold there hand under the bottle and try to catch the gimmick and do you know
what they catch nothing. I can not reccommend this trick enough. I would give it 6 out of 5 if I
could. Click the button that looks like this: [Add to Cart] now! Dan Hauss has made me a better
magician. P.S. Don't let the gimmick try up.
