I let the kids review them...... after the blizzard there isn't one left on the floor.

The first generation of butterflies that came with the McBride Dancing butterflies were good. Now
what is offered is the 3rd generation and they are small and not attractive.

This is a fantastic effect for many reasons. It's just a beautiful piece of magic and with a good
story line, it's perfect. Normal snowstorm routines are extremely common so using something like
this sets you apart. Additionally, kids will always pick up the butterflies at the end so you don't
have any cleanup.

The picture of the product is mis-leading as the butterflies pictured on the website are not the
same as the ones you receive. I would suggest changing this to better fulfill customer
expectations. I have made gimmicks with the originals and now they don't match.

Gets great reaction, I don't get asked, "Hey are those butterflies from the provided effect or just
the refills cause I could tell the difference."

I bought this refill in order to perform the butterfly blizzard as Jeff McBride taught it in his
live at the table lecture.
The butterflies look great and they fly great. I got great
reactions by the spectators and I believe that the more I perform this effect the greater it will
look.
Before the show the manager of the venue asked me not to use any comfeti, I said that
there is no problem and just as Jeff said in his lecture, the kids picked up every single butterfly
from the floor.
I really don't understand the negative reviews for this product

So many magicians do a snowstorm routine that it seems cliche now, but after performing this a few
times I can honestly say it's incredibly powerful. The butterflies aren't huge, yet they are the
perfect size to palm the whole bunch and release them one by one as you fan. They fly up fairly well
using the Alan Wong fan and they really fill up the space around you quickly due to their size.
Some people are saying they are tacky and don't look right, but I performed it in two shows
today and it got a bigger reaction than I'd hoped for. As the first butterfly flew out of my hand,
one kid said, "It's real!" and as they cascaded around the kids they were all grabbing for them.
They come in a lot of colors in each pack, so you'll be seeing a flying color storm. Yes, it ends in
a mess but most of them were gone as the kids left with their hands full of the butterflies. With
the right routine and music, this is an incredibly powerful closer.

I have been using these butterflies for several years. The quality is excellent! The packets are
very secure so they travel well during your act, but are easy to pop open when needed. Highly
recommended!
These are tacky little things, but I suppose it depends what you use them for.
