I know this is one of the greatest illusions out there; however, I didn't feel I got my money's
worth. First the production value is very low, yes you can understand and follow what he says, but
still I feel for the price it should be better. Also, the staff that comes with it is cheap. But for
me the WORST part was that HE PERFORMS THE EFFECT DIFFERENTLY AND USES A DIFFERENT, BETTER, SMALLER
CUP. YOU WON'T BE PERFORMING THIS EFFECT EXACTLY THE SAME AS THEY SHOW. AND, IN MY OPINION IF I'M
PAYING $300 I WANT A TOP QUALITY PRODUCT. You are paying for the secret and the safety element THAT
IS IT everything else is just bad.

The routine is great. The safety is as promised. The effect really looks like what you see.
My biggest problem with this is the glass you get with the kit. For the price they could at
least try to make a high quality glass. This is plastic and is crudely painted. It looks nothing
like the glass he uses in the video, and I wish they had placed the exact same one in the kit.
Don't get me wrong, the one provided will be sufficient, and passable during a performance.
(not inspectable) However for 300$ you think they would provide a high quality glass.
This effect will be in your show, as it is just as easy to do as they claim. So, if you like
how it looks, you will enjoy performing it.

There are some very good thing and some bad things so I must give this a mixed review.
Needles-
For ease of use and safety I give it 5 out of 5. For prop construction I give it a
1 out of 5. For routining I give it a 3 out of 5.
Prop construction-After the very first
time practicing with the secret gimmick, the glue came off and it fell apart. For a 0 effect to
literally fall apart in your hands after 1 practice use is inexcusable. The glass appears to be a
modified plastic disposable party shop type glass. The DVD although has very low production value is
extremely clear how to execute the effect and does the job.
Routine- The routine supplied
has virtually no jokes, edge or humor but is very pleasantly, smoothly presented as you would for a
family show, problem is the needles is NOT a family trick, This effect should not be done for
children obviously. I think Steve Spills wonderful routine is more comedy club orientated and I
really feel this is where this effect belongs (adult entertainment)
Credit where credit is due
however, this is a GREAT method for fast set up and preventing tangles in the thread so if you have
already tried the needles and you had a technical problem presenting it, this may be for you but
don't expect the props to last.

I just got done performing this for the first time.
"Your Crazy."
"How did you do
that?"
"Why isn't your tongue bleeding?"
"How did the needles end up on the thread?"
This routine leaves them no options. Either you swallowed the needles and brought them up or
you didn't.
I knew I wanted to do this - I didn't realize how hard hitting this is.

I have been looking for a version to put in my act. This one goes in immediately.
It is
1) The safest version of this I've seen
2) It comes with everything you need, except
the wine/fruitjuice/diet soda
3) The DVD is fantastic and teaches step by step with multiple
angels
4) The performance is a good place to find your own presentation - or use it word for
word.
It is fantastic, easy, safe, and so good you could do it strolling if you gave
yourself 45 second reset time.
What more could you ask for? A cheaper price? It's
worth it at this price.
"It's priced too high" you say? Nah I say!
This illusion is well thought out, probably the
safest method and it easy to perform. It is a spectacular illusion that really allows you, as the
performer, to create the moments of magic in your style.
The price seems high. But do you
want everyone performing it? And we should give credit and "the cash" to those who created this
illusion, Scott and Puck.
It comes with a good DVD by Scott showing the illusion performed and
an excellent step by step instruction set.
The only thing it should have is a warning not
to perform this for kids. Kids will try to mimic you. Not good.
If, and I stress if, you
are an amateur, semi-pro and up, then this illusion is for you. And the way it is sold, it means
that not everyone in your magic club will be performing it next week.
A really Great Illusion.
