The ESP Origins deck is based on the ESP cards designed by Karl Zener and made popular by Joseph Banks in the early 20th century. Your spectators will have no doubts about their authenticity. The back was designed by Sam Hayles, a world renowned graphic artist who specialises in playing card designs. The marking on the backs of the cards is efficient and effective. You can read it easily, but your spectators will not even suspect the cards are marked, much less be able to see the marks. In addition to the ESP cards, the deck includes all of the cards needed to perform the 10 routines described in the booklet, along with several bonus cards that you can put to use in your own mentalism routines.

The ESP Deck

  • 25 ESP cards (five of each symbol), blue backs and marked
  • 5 red ESP cards, marked
  • 5 cards numbered 1 to 5, marked

The Booklet
A number of leading mentalism performers have worked with us on this project. The 48-page booklet includes 10 routines, with illustrations by Tony Dunn and superb graphics and design work by Benoît Drager.

I have the ESP 3 deck and I love the book - but I cant read the backs of the cards - THIS deck is a way better reader deck. The book that comes with this... kinda eh. Small print and not very many of the tricks deal with reading the backs. But the upside is all the extra cards you get. If you already got ESP 3 i'd get this and then use THAT book with THIS deck.

I own several ESP decks and this one is without a doubt the best one available. The cards are very high quality and feel just like bicycles. The effects included in the book are very strong and fun to perform. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in learning about ESP card magic.

As far as I am aware, these are the best ESP cards on the market. The design on them (all-seeing eye) is the original reason I was interested in buying them. They look very mystical with that design. I always hand these out to spectators for inspection and ever nobody finds any markings. The quality is very, very good. I do not riffle shuffle these or do anything that bends the cards much because they are so nice. The instruction booklet that comes with it has many colorful diagrams with instructions from top names in mentalism. If you are not looking for anything fancy, then the Royal brand of ESP cards might be better for you to save money.

I make money doing Tarot readings and ESP testing. ...It beats children's birthday parties and supermarket openings. I just received this offering from Penguin and I couldn't be more pleased! The markings are pretty easy-to-read even for an old guy like me with poor eyesight. Not like some other decks. The booklet is a wealth of new and exciting information! Delivery was quick and painless. Love the Penguin touch of letting me watch the package being assembled prior to shipping. Everything was exactly as promised. Great product. Thanks Penguin!

This is the easiest to read marked ESP deck I've found. I use it for Michael Murray's Jazz Mentalism routine (in The Door booklet).

The cards are attractive, as well. (My "magic wife" said, "Oh, those are nice!")

The deck includes a lot of extras for various routines, plus a smaller box for carrying the usual 25-card set.

Highly recommended.

There are a few esp decks avaialble but this deck is by far the easiest to read. Cleverly marked deck with tons of gaffed cards to perform numerous mind reading effects.

It comes with an illustrated booklet of instructions, with trick contributions from famous magicians.

You also get an extra deck box to hold the all gaffs. There are 55 cards in total: you get number cards, blank cards,red backed cards, double facers, etc.

The card size and quality is par with bicycle cards. If you do any type of esp card effects than this is a MUST have deck.
