You want to leave an impression of real magic in the minds of your audience?

Effect:The magician has a card on the back of a colorful Christmas tree. The only problem is that there are no gifts under the tree. So the magician asks the spectator to write his initials on the star atop the Christmas tree before covering the card with his hand.
The magician asks him to return the card and now reveals a profusion of printed gifts under the tree.
Of course you can leave the card as a souvenir.

This effect can be presented for adults or children, a version for children is explained in the booklet with a final where you appear a gift and pull a coin that you offer to the child at the end of the routine.

Contents:

  • Twenty cards
  • The Gimmick map
  • Very detailed leaflet in French and English layout by Benoit Drager and illustrated by Tony Dunn.
  • A pattern to make yourself the gift for the child version
Bonus:
  • Ideal for a souvenir
  • Perfect routine for all age groups
  • Strong impact

The basic effect here is something you find early on in many beginner magic books, but using business cards. The cards here are glossy, the trees are brightly colored and easy to see, and you have almost everything you need to do the trick included. You finish strong with the package, but giving them a quarter seems a letdown. My suggestion is to get some of those little Christmas chocolate balls shaped like an ornament. Rather than focus on the presents at the bottom, bring the attention to the ornaments on the tree and "pull" one off to give the spectator. When you hand them the candy, you get the same surprise reaction but instead of losing momentum as they open a gift and get a quarter you can load up and move on as they are looking at their candy.

You can do this effect with the card signed but it's not necessary. There's no real sleight of hand necessary outside of the materialization of the gift at the end, so you are free to focus on presentation and fun.

This is Great self promotion. A sticker or stamp on the back with your contact information. I like the previous reviewer's idea of leaving the spectator with candy.Packs small plays Big for a close up group.
