It is advertised as a "beautiful box", even in the instructions, what I received was a poorly constructed box, the lid does not even sit in it correctly, and it is painted an uneven coat of gloss black and covered in chips and dings. The "jewels" are plastic children's toy gems glued to the top of 1 inch wood blocks, also painted black. It looks very little like the box in the ad.

The effect itself is T.A. Water's but he is not credited in the instructions.

When you first see photos of this prop it looks like a piece that may have been made by Magic Wagon. Even the effect itself is similar to a couple of theirs. When you see it in person and hold it you realize it definitely is NOT Magic Wagon. Of course if Magic Wagon had made this, then you would probably be paying about 200.00-300.00 also!
The secret is also similar although for mine to work properly I had to do a little bit of "altering" to make it more reliable and less suspicious. You would also think for the close to 100.00 price they could have at least sprung for some prediction labels so you didn't have to make your own! Other than that, I think they made a great effect here and if you couldn't afford or find Mental Safari or Mind Paintings this is a nice less expensive substitute.

The box is more than I thought it would be. There are multiple ways in which it can be used/performed. If your on the fence with this one I recommend it, as one can focus entirly on presentation !!

I have not purchased this one yet but intend to do so. I agree with the review above ...for this price ...the qulaity looks great and although you may have to alter this a touch it doesnt change the fact about the quality. I own a similar item of coloured figures and I also have another using coloured balls. The real magic lies in the way you use this and the story you weave. All magic illusions if truth be told could be figured out but in order not to give away the secret is the way in which the magician tells his story. I love gimicked items from an enginerring standpoint and while many use similar gimicks it is the way the gimick is combined with an item to create the illusion..thanks seo for a really nice item.

I LOVE PROPS THAT HAVE REAL CLASS AND BEAUTY LIKE THIS HAS!
I WOULD NOT PRINT OUT REVEALS LIKE THEY DID, BUT USE SMALL SQUARES OF CARD STOCK AND HAND WRITE THE REVEAL. I WOULD EMPHASIZE IN ADVANCE THAT I HAD MADE A PREDICTION.
