This item is made in India and is of average quality. The black color of the inside bottom of the top hat rubs away easily, showing white streaks. This is a problem when displaying an empty hat to the audience especially in a close up situation. I wish I knew the origin of the product before I purchased this. I've had bad luck with Indian and Chinese items in the past.

My son was excited to get this magic hat. When it arrived it smelled like it had been stored in a damp basement and still has an odor. We expected it would have a compartment in it for magic tricks, we had another had with a secret compartment. It's just a musty smelling, collapsible top hat. I went back and ordered the one we had previously again. Sorry for the bad review, that's how it was for us.
