It is an amazing trick for a stage show, but not for a close-up. The problem is that you may make
the weird sound when you manipulate the gimmick. So find a noisy place if you want to perform this
trick for a small group of people or just keep it for the stage.

There are so many great UN-gimmicked rope routines available. There is absolutely no reason to
spend money on gimmicked rope tricks... except this one. This one is FREAKIN' AMAZING.

This is a great effect (although they probably should have updated the name to "Five Nightmares"
since they added an effect (and a very good one) to the routine after it's initial release.
The good news: the gaffs in the ropes are among the very best I've ever seen - right up there
with Pavel's "Walking Knot." You can do this routine quite close to the audience without fear of
detection.
My only complaint is the instructions - they are in microscopic print and very
difficult to read. I scanned, enlarged, and printed them, and they're still a little hard to
follow.
But, if you have a bit of patience and "stick-to-it-iveness" you'll have routine
you can anywhere, anytime - and you won't be cutting and using up rope every time you do it.
Highly recommended!

I've seen a wide range of quality in ropes gimmicked this way, so I was relieved to find that my
Tenyo set is very good quality. Also, I thought the sequence was complicated and would take a long
time to get it down but I was wrong. After the first time reading through the directions, I felt it
all made logical sense so only a couple more skims through the instructions after that and I had the
sequence down and was very comfortable with it. There are a few moves, but no challenging moves.
I've been doing the Professor's Nightmare since I was a kid in the 1970s and this is really a
different effect, even if there is some overlap. I wouldn't do them in the same show, but one could
be used when you do a repeat show if you did the other in the first show. Overall, I'm very pleased
with this.

I purchased this years ago. It is one of my favorite effects to perform. It just baffles people.
They are expecting to see maybe a standard rope trick, but with Four Nightmares incredible things
happen before their eyes. I often walk within a few feet of the audience, because the gimmick is not
easily seen. The minor noises have never been a problem. This requires some skill, but not much.

This is one of the most visual trick ever! Action happens here very fast, so audience feels
astonished, again and again!

This a trick which is a delight to perform and very magical to see. The BEST rope trick I have ever
purchased. Highly recommended.

I was so looking forward to getting this trick to practice and add to my routine.
For such
a great trick, it left me underwhelmed because packaging, instructions were hopeless. Not up to
standard of many other tricks being sold.
There was no video instruction just a photocopied
version of Japanese instructions.
For someone needing glasses I needed a magnifying glass to
read. Simple solution increase typeface and think of those with poor sight.
Excellent concept
but would have liked longer ropes as this is suitable for stage, not for close up .
Expensive
for what is delivered. Awesome idea.
Improve length of rope and have a video or online tutorial
then I’d be happy paying a premium price.
Fantastic effect, worth every penny.
