I'm knocking off 2 stars because the construction of the gimmick is not as easy as the instructor
explains. You have to be patient to do this. The concept and the performance of this trick is terrific
! It looks great and if the gimmick is constructed right...it's a miracle. The instructor explains
that one gimmick should 'last a lifetime'....then I say........add a couple more dollars to the
price of the trick and include the gimmick pre-made.Just a thought.

The gimmick does take a little work, maybe 15-20 minutes to construct, so make 2 or 3 while you're
doing it. Plenty of material for 4 or 5 included. Each gimmick should last for months, except for
replacing some tape.
I use photocopied bills so I don't have to destroy a real bill each time.
They only see 1 inch of the bill anyway.
I think that it is the perfect fooler. Can be
carried in billfold and ready to go instantly. Just pull out the card with gimmick attached, borrow
a pencil and amaze someone!

First: The Illusion is great, but for a worker, the gimmick is completely useless.
Second:
The construction is a pain in the ass, takes you half an hour, and the guy explaining it is the
bloody worst. He misses explaining all the small subtleties, that really matter. Because you will
construct the gimmick 2-3 times, before you have a working one.
Third: The trailer is
totally misleading, because you can't just have a card chosen, tear it, hand it out and repeat.
(maybe for two times), because you have something stick on the "chosen" card, and stick it to the
next one if you repeat the trick. (table hopping). But after 2 performances it won't stick anymore,
you you'll have another 15 minutes to make it reusable. SO: 1-2 performances and then you will need
to go somewhere.
Fourth: The gimmick is not working reliable. The nature of the gimmick is
wobbly and stupid, it will wear out very fast.
This is one of the worst (crafty) things I
bought in the last five years. In my eyes completely useless for a worker. The handling is awful,
the explanation is rubbish, the whole thing is trasher of the week, not worker of the week.
Of
course the method is cool, it looks amazing, but believe me, you will not perform that in the real
world for more than once maybe.

Pros: very deceptive, unique, clever method
Cons: gimmick can malfunction, tearing card can
be difficult, handlings covered on the instructions have several major flaws, imo
I have
come to really like this effect (and so have my audiences), but that is only after putting
considerable work into managing the gimmick and changing the handling.
Details:
The first thing I noticed when learning this was how tough it was to tear a decent hole in the
card. It can be done, but it it requires some hand strength, it can look sloppy, and will kill the
trick instantly if you tear wrong. Not good!
Second, the gimmick is very clever, but there
are several ways for it to fail (as I discovered during performances). I was able to overcome these
issues, but only after some experimenting. None of these issues are covered on the instructions,
which makes me wonder if the gentleman teaching the trick had performed it much. (In fact, I'm
pretty sure he hadn't, as he had no idea how long the gimmick would last). The gimmick, btw, is one
of the more complex I've constructed and the instructions suffer from a lack of close-ups. I made
one mistake during construction for this reason.
I can't get too much into my main issue
with the two handlings taught as it might reveal too much, but I will say that the creator's
decision to end clean creates a lot of headaches that I think could have been avoided with a
different handling. I was able to devise one after a couple weeks of experimenting that eliminates
these issues.
Bottom line: I have a lot of respect for the creator for inventing such a
brilliant gimmick, but I think most who attempt this are going to run into problems. Your ability to
overcome them will depend on your patience and knowledge of magic.
Insanely clever trick, the illusion is perfect. I'm already fooling everyone I show this too. I even
adapted it to make an even simpler handling. Great work as always from Peter!
As a hobbyist magician. I agree with the previous review. The gimmick is not as easy as it looks to
put together. I had to review the assembly a bunch of times to get how it's put together. Also some
of the close-up views were not very clear. Overall the effect is awesome and the gimmick is
ingenious.
Good idea for getting gimmick in play...not strong enough to waste a gimmick card spot in my deck.
Deduct 1 star...Do not start with building of the gimmick. Consider that your trick may be
worthless for the buyer. Start with a finished gimmick and give us the basics of the trick. WE are
not here to do 30 minutes of craft work for a gimmick we cannot use. You are not Mr Craftwork on
the local cable show.
Deduct 1 star...More and more remote websites with password protected
instructions. Why do we believe these websites are going to survive when we really need it. I do
not!
