Craig Petty is proud to introduce his brand new magic trick. Crystallize, an updated re-imagination of Neal Prete's ShakeSphere effect. This is a multiphase routine that's very visual using a real salt shaker. The salt is taken, formed into a ball and then penetrated into the salt shaker.

Please Note: small bubbles inside the shaker are normal. Please watch instructions for more details.

This product fails in a lot of angles. While some of the phases are great, mainly the penetrations. a lot ofthe routine aspects seem forced and makes no sense at all. The props are also not as good as I though they would be coming from PropDog.

First: For this price. You get the cheapest packaging ever. The gimmicks don't feel like they justify the price. the cap on the shaker feels cheap and the way its gimmicked is also cheap and not what I expected. It is not really crafted.
Not only that but the gimmick with the salt ball embedded in the cap is not exactly examinable because the spectator can and will in many cases remove it if they try with their hands. it is not strongly "embedded". A spectator even removes and breaks the gimmick in Craig's own live performance on the video.

Second: The salt balls arrived already weary and the salt came off them which it does easily. Craig talks about how to fix this issue but doesn't show you how to do it and for the price there should be a demo.

Third: Some of the moves taught (I don't wanna reveal it by saying the name) are not really convincing and the misdirection doesn't seem strong enough. you need to think of this as a tool and create your own routine.

Fourth: This is important. The two finales are actually confusing rather than magical. it is hard to make sense of it and you almost have to explain it to the spectator. They will be confused and will not think "WOW" and this can be seen in his own live performance on the video. The cap turns solid and at the same time the salt ball is embedded in it after it was invisible for some reason. It is very bad in (Clarity of effect). The Omni salt shaker is also confusing because it looks like a normal shaker. so one has to take into his hand and then they will understand what the effect you convey is but it's not as impressive.

Craig compares this to a chop cup. If you do a chop cup I guarantee you that you will get better reactions than Crystalize 100% of the time.

All in all,for the price? skip it. But it has potential if you have your own routine to create with it which I want to do. I like the idea of it. but I am underwhelmed.

So I got lucky, lots of other people got really bad bubbles in their Omni shaker, mine has a couple tiny unnoticeable ones. No big deal. The routine is awesome, It’s now in my table hopping set and will be in a lot of other close up shows as well. It’s weird enough and organic enough to be perfect in my view. My only complaint is that the gimmicked balls are very small and I think more than one set should be supplied or they should teach how to make them so you have options in case they get lost. Other than that, the trick is awesome. I see why other people are unhappy but I’m very happy.
