Honestly I was a bit let down opening the box.
The tic tac box was in Spanish which I knew l, but the size of the box is different than what is sold in the state, it came with a blue card, not the red pictured. The latter my preferred.
I haven’t tried to modify this and am writing this just after watching the tutorial and fooling with the gimmick for a couples hours I’m sure with a decent amount of time and savy it can be down and are supplied some extra nick knacks to make one might have to hit a kinko’s or fed ex office. But the build is easy peasy in my estimation.
Honestly I was thinking of a similar concept when Hanson chien released Eric Ross eye candy and even hit up Hanson about it. I wanted to turn into a ring however. Which I’m sure can be done here.
This brings me to the dilemmas with the tutorial. First Spanish English subtitles. Sure they are easy enough and when done right some times subtitles are more direct than those that go to in depth and and off on tangents in the native tongue. My main problem was no live performances!
Something that garnered the attention this trick did at the major conventions could at least have had a sizzle reel of that. Also I’m not a card guy I’d love to see some routining and bar bets that utilize this pretty awesome, simple gimmick with some money routines as shown in the trailer.
The only switch box I’ve ever owned RSVP Which was a total turd and waste of 65$ Or more?! That broke right out of the box twice! While I am worried removing the lid will someday break it. As of now it has out lasted both those marvelous effects.
Smart magicians will get a lot of fun from and mileage from this durable organic and easy to replace and duplicate with a quick stop at the quickly mart switch/production/vanish box. New magicians will have a lot of fun with the straight forward method and easy to use gimmick and will be impressing the ladies and amazing their pals in no time.
Even with its draw box in size it’s still workable as the mash up for eye candy which I bought it fo. I feel it is a more valuable, visual, and versatile effect in my opinion than magswitch which I just bought at twice the price and is similar in effect and method. When searching for these sorts of boxes and wallets there’s a lot out there but the organic and identifiable tic tac box and easy to replace and recreate seems to give me more substance than the more elegant wallet for the price point.
While the unboxing left me yearning and the tutorial had me wanting over all I see what a very valuable prop this is and it will be coming with me despite its draw backs I’ve mentioned. Not every thing can be pure gold but this comes close and is worth the mint.
