Until now, I knew the Daniel Madison's index (the Advocate), those described in Paramiracles (Ted
Lesley) and Practical mental effects (Annemann), and the Cardsource card index system (sold by
Trickshop). My preferred one was the Advocate, but as I was not completely satisfied, I adapted it
and I continue to make some modifications.
Now, I have Cheetah, but I don't know yet if it will
become my preferred one. For the moment, I can say :
- Positive points : well made, lasting
materials, and you can easily locate the cards when you learnt the system, without making an error.
- Negative point : for some cards, when the card is located, it is not easy to pull out this
card, for two reasons : some groups of cards are less easy to reach, and the cards are to tightly
packed.

This is my first card index. I read some good reviews and liked the demo video so I purchased thru
Penguin. I was a little overwhelmed at first. I didn't think I would be able to get this down.
However the more I practiced and it started to flow,i grinned ear to ear as I was removing the cards
I wanted. I'm able to retrieve cards quick and im still learning. Cheetah is sturdy, should last. Its
slim and its not that difficult to pick up. If you like the demo video get this!

For context I'm a complete amateur...I've had this for about 3 weeks, and it takes me about 15-20
seconds to pull the card, and I'm getting it right about 80% of the time. With enough practice
though, I think anyone could replicate what you see in the trailer. It's a well-made product,
thoughtfully laid out. In jeans pockets I think it is pretty obvious what's happening so have been
using the back pockets instead. If it's cold enough out for a coat or jacket, that would be even
easier. Some folks might want to re-arrange how things are laid out, but I thought the organization
made sense and the instruction video is more than detailed. Cards included are super thin and tear
easily but I think it helps the effect because it really looks like a card that's just been in your
pants pocket all day. I don't aspire to do the trick in the trailers where he pulls cards for a
whole group because then the trick is just "I can find your card in my pocket" and everyone knows
what's in his pocket. I have just been trying to pull one card for one person and leave it at
that...so the trick is "I happened to have one card in my pocket, and it's the card you picked." To
me that's a much stronger trick.

I did not buy this from Penguin, but I like it so much I had to review. I have not tried any other
index systems, but I can't see why I would want to. This device was very easy to set up and learn
with the included video. The video shows you everything your need. Took less than an hour to set up
and master this clever system. The impact on this effect is huge if you play it right. A great shut
down trick when people are bugging you for a trick. One huge effect, and then you exit on a high
note leaving them wanting more. Can play this off as card magic or mentilism. I do a routine with
where it appears that I forced the spectator to select the one card in my pocket through using a
combination of decoy mentislim moves like squeezing their arm, snapping my fingers, or coughing.

It took me a 2-3 days to practice and I was ready to perform!
It really is a great gimmick, well
made.

Very well made with durable materials. Should hold up well during the practice required to make card
retrieval as fast as advertised. The only card index I would recommend.
