Oh boy. I hate writing reviews like this. I really wanted this product to be good.
So
let’s start out with the good:
-Great nail writer for those with small nails. I keep my nails
very short and this writer stays firm and stable on my hands. Very surprised!
-It was nice to
have a little travel tube included in it.
-Some of the ideas in the videos generate some
inspiration for the seasoned performer and for new people it’s a good starting point.
-Easy to
ditch (just don’t lose it)
-Able to write on body with less of a mess than grease pencil.
The Bad:
-The trailer is deceptive in that it shows the K-Writer writes as a darker sharpie
writing than other grease pencil writers. This is not true. I have pushed as hard as I can when
writing and it looks like a lighter grease pencil or crayon. The writing looks like it does in every
other reveal in the trailer, except when it shows the “K-Writer/Original writer”.
I did a side
by side test with other writers and unfortunately, this is slightly darker than a thin pencil
writer. Other pencil writers appear much darker.
The only reason I purchased this was for the
“darker writing”.
The Ugly:
-The handling video, continues to insist it looks similar
to a sharpie. Perhaps a dried out one.
-The Intro/Handling Video is incomplete. It stops in the
middle of an explanation and does not cover how to reload, why there is an eraser or paper clip
included, or any tips on care/maintenance. As an experienced mentalist, I can figure these things
out, but I expect more discussion on care of the product. I am quite surprised this passed quality
control.
In short, if you are looking for a stable nail writer with light grease pencil,
then this is for you. If you are looking for a darker nail writer, there are other options out there
and cheaper with better explanations.
If I am wrong or doing something wrong, I welcome the
feedback and will gladly change my star rating (I have done so in the past). I will also be happy to
share the side by side comparison on a billet with grease pencil boon writing, Vernet Band Pencil,
Easy writer pencil, sharpie, etc… (have a collection of swammi gimmicks).
I am disappointed
and figuring out a way to get my money back.
