This is an okay effect. The video is straight forward, and the "secret moves"--as described on the video--are extremely easy to do. The downside of the trick is that there is not a "killer" ending--no BIG BANG. However, one could use this as part of a larger bill routine. Slightly high priced for the amount of information that you recieve in my opinion.

I used to call myself a card magician, this effect took the cake for me! It's completely impromptu... and easy! I've fool ever magician I've shown this too. It's just that good!

Pros: It's completely impromptu. It looks amazing. It's easy. And it uses something that are ideal in magic: Money... and BORROWED at that!

Cons: I don't know any. But in my opinion, the effect looks better and more natural at waist-level. Also, doing it at waist-level makes the effect 100% angle proof.

I give this one of my highest recommendations.

A quick background story about me: when I found out about this trick, I considered myself a card magician... And that was about it. But ever since I learned this trick, this has been my #1 go-to effect! Even more so than any card trick or mind reading effect, etc. This one has fooled laymen and magicians alike when I've performed it.

The major plus side to this trick is: not only does this trick use money (something that everyone can relate to and almost always carries on them... And they're bills, not coins, so even more people carry your props on them), but they're BORROWED props! This means that this trick is more personal than most tricks out there... aside from maybe mind reading and telling someone about something personal to the.

This is one of those tricks that are great because, not only can you have absolutely no props on you, but it's a reputation maker. In a close up situation, this can be one of the best tricks you can do. While Andrew Mayne teaches this trick done at eye level, from my recollection, he also teaches the handling done at waist level, which I feel is more natural. And at waist level, this trick can easily be done surrounded! And the only real sleight or misdirection used during the trick is done at the very beginning... right in front of the spectator! It goes right over their heads! In fact, sometimes I forget that I do the move myself. It's so natural.

In my opinion, this trick is something like a pen through bill trick, just better, because EVERYTHING is borrowed and is fully examinable. No funny moves. Nothing to hide or cover. Nothing to add on or palm out. And can be repeated if need be.

All in all, if I had to do or recommend one trick, this would be it!


(Only down side to this is the quality of the video. Other than that, it's a MUST!)

Forget Crazy Man's Handcuffs. This is the best closeup effect of all time in my opinion. You can use two borrowed bills which makes this perfect. People are interested in money especially if it is their own. This is incredibly visual and never fails to get gasps. There are some slight angle issues, but as you practice you will figure them out. If you want something that packs small, plays big, uses completely borrowed materials, and is easy to perform this is the routine for you.

no this is not a killer BUT this ungimmicked borrowed bills routine is AWESOME for a quick pow (even if you are showing it to yourself in the mirror). This quick effect is reasonably priced and I am very picky when it comes to buying things. if you like it a and want more of his stuff get the lecture it saves you money (just freefall, inversion tear down alone in $45 separately to the $30 lecture). I saw the effect at the lecture and the demo shows this effect being done and that is really how it looks. By the way no practice necessary (a treat for the technique people out there) [this isn't for stage stuff though]

I bought this a few years ago from PM but had it filed away because I thought it was too difficult to do.

I'm an amateur magician and started to get back into magic a few weeks ago and got this out and practised it. Holy, it's a pretty simple trick and a very good illusion! I was just to impatient back then I guess haha.
