The title says my biggest problem with this. It can load a tennis ball, but it gets stuck and
doesn't come out when you lift the cup, which is a pretty weak final load capacity.
The
quality of the cups themselves is also a minor problem. Given the price (and that some cups sell for
hundreds of dollars), it's not too much of a complaint, but the lips of the cups chip pretty easily.
The 'chopped' part of the cup works pretty well.
It also comes with a nice
carrying pouch (for the cups and balls only, it can't hold any additional loads).
What is
really good about this is crochet balls that come with it. They are a nice size and a really nice
shade of red. I believe that they are sold seperately for $1.50 each.
Overall: This is
a good set to learn basic cup moves, and if you find a right size load for this then it could work
well. The chopped addition to this isn't necessarily needed, but if you want it, then it's good. I
personally don't like to perform with this, but it's good to practice with (except for final loads).
With That I'm not going to say BUY IT or DON'T BUY IT, and leave you to make your own decision
knowing this.

Overall if you think these are going to be some beautiful hand spun cups that are going to be your
big ticket to your world tour you'll probably want to keep walking. BUT if you are looking for a
quick set of cups that will get the job done and can load small/medium lemons these might be the
ones for you.
I bought these with the intention of seeing if I liked performing the cups
and balls. And I can say it's a lot of fun and now I might invest in the time/money to put together
a set and upgrade the cups.
The chop cup gimmick though is very weak and I wouldn't trust
it completely. Once it's in it's in and you're good but if you drop the ball in during the
performance the odds of it actually staying are about 50/50.
If the gimmick is fixed I
would happily give this a 5 for this price point.

GREAT CUPS! FULL SIZE! GREAT FOR 1" to 1.25" balls.
I like this set for the price. It has a strong magnet in the chop cup. I would have preferred the
cups to be a little shallower as there are a couple of moves you can not do with these being so
deep. The crochet balls are a little bigger than I would have preferred as its hard to balance three
balls on the top of one cup but that is no big deal. Overall this is a good set for getting used to
this product and maybe later I will buy a better set (better being copper or brass and a bit better
shape.
I recently received Michael Ammar'ss Cups and Balls for Christmas 09 and wanted to learn more about
them. I have been performing them before I received the dvd but also wanted to learn more about the
chop cup and the effects it could do. The cups are made out of aluminum and are light in weight and
don't dent easily. They also stack well and are easy to hold. The mouth opening is large enough to
use fairly large objects such as kiwis, lime, lemons, etc... The chop cup is pretty much
indistinguishable from the others. You would have to know what to look for. A great set in my
opinion for the beginner, to practice, or to do some small shows with.
