I used to perform Improv Nightshades when Paul Harris first introduced the effect. That was good,
BUT UV nightshades takes it to a whole new level. Talk about visual, The spectators can actually see
the sunglasses flipping up on George's forehead. Then immediately pass the bill out for examination.
Now...that is magic. I perform the preset nightshade version on the DVD as I find the handling a lot
easier. The other bonus effects Peeler & Spinner are workers as well. Do you want to have your
spectator's in awe? I highly recommend this effect..It's AWESOME !!!

i think that this definitely more visual than the original but I don't see why you would get this if
you have the original but a good improvement non the less

Completely disagree with those who say skip this effect if you already do the version in art of
astonishment. If you like the Nightshades effect you'll LOVE this version. UV Nightshades hits far
harder than any other version of the effect. I balked at paying for "one" trick but I was wrong.
This is hard hitting magic. Not only that but you get an updated version of peeler which is far
better than the version from the books and a great method for doing a spinning pen. What's really
great is you can use the concepts taught to do the effects and apply them in a completely different
manner. UV Nightshades is one of the greatest close up effects I've ever seen. Some of Paul Harris
finest thinking taken to a whole other level by Mark Allen.
wow amazing trick! i would have never thought of this. it doesn't take long to construct the gimmick
and you're set to perform this after practicing a couple times. very simple and easy trick but i
would have imagined how to do this trick on my own. good job mark allen!
UV Nightshades is probably one of the greatest close-up effects I ever owned. The visuals on this
are incredible.
I highly recommend this. And after a hour or so you will be performing this all
of the time.
UV Nightshades is my go-to trick whenever put on the spot in a public venue. It's easy to assemble
and even easier to perform. I literally practiced it 3 times before I went out and starting
performing publicly. The angles are awesome and the reactions are always animated. The teaching is
really thorough and very clear.
I would have given this trick 5 stars but the dvd I
received is terrible. It will not play at regular speed on any of the 3 different devices I put it
in (including a macbook pro). Luckily, there was an included URL to a website where after signing
up, the video instructions are available to watch. The scenes are well-lit and the instruction is
awesome but the resolution is awful. I soldiered through it and am glad I did, this trick is
incredible. If I had kept every dollar I performed it on, I'd be buying another trick instead of
writing a review lol.
UV Nightshades is my favorite trick right now because of how easy it is to actually perform the
trick and yet it is still extremely visual! If you practice until you get the required move down, it
is pretty impossible to figure out. You start off the performance either with your own bill or a
borrowed bill and both options you start off clean and in both versions you also end clean, adding
to the seemingly impossible trick. It's already known that once sharpie is on paper or some sort
it's not moving but this is when you show your "powers" and prove that you can do the impossible.
This was definitely something great to add to my walk around/close up magic. It's a really great
trick and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys making the impossible seem possible and end
clean at the same time. Buy now!
I agree with Curtis when I got it. I asked myself why do this one, if you have the original but for
those spectators that want to see it again it's a good follow up! Remember you always get a
spectator that demands, "Let Me See That Again!" Very visual the set-up for the constructing of it
takes awhile but once it's done you have it for quite long time.
