Waxed

Do you need to make a gimmick or need any materials? How easy is it and do you need magic wax? Also, how are the angles and is it impromptu and totally examinable? Thanks!

So what is the problem? Why do you want it thicker? Surely all dental floss is pretty much the same size since it is designed to slide between most everyone's teeth, children included. Waxed floss looks thicker of course. But as long as it is waxed, and you can break it into lengths, then you can do the trick.
You can get dental tape which is wider in one dimension than floss - but I doubt whether you could use this.

All you need is the floss and you can setup in under a minute. Completely examinable and completely fooling.

The materials you need are one box of waxed dental floss - available in virtually all drug stores. I live in Canada, but in the United States, I believe a common shop is called Walgreens. The "gimmick" you ask about is a simple set-up that takes you about one minute once you have learned how to do it. How easy is it? Like all magic, it takes practice, rehearsal and commitment. But it's not terribly difficult, and it's WORTH IT! No, you don't need extra magician's wax. The angles are terrific. It is not 100% impromtu. As I said, there is a brief set-up. Lonnie, shows you how to end clean, and at the end, the restored floss is 100% examinable. This is an ingenious version of the Gypsy Thread, well worth the price, and taught by an excellent teacher.

I bought some of the Reach Waxed floss and it isn't near as thick looking has his in the demo.It is not that easy to roll up into a ball before starting the routine.I checked the container closely and I'm not sure they are making it like that anymore. The new containers do not say Johnson & Johnson in red on the front anymore. So I found one in cinnamon waxed floss but is not any thicker.Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
