There's a lot to love in this lecture. I was grateful Chad Long presented a variety of effects:
Close-up, walk-around, stage/parlor, and mental magic. There was something for everybody.
I
love Red/Black effects, so I enjoyed Chad Long's take on Oil & Water and a full deck Oil & Water
(which is not as hard as it might appear).
I never had any use for the Bounce/No Bounce
props until this lecture. I like how he presents it. It's fun, funny and a great way to get into a
routine.
If you do parlor or platform magic, you will really want to consider adding Al
Dente to your repertoire. It's a nice, visual, offbeat piece. What, exactly, is it? A torn and
restored piece of dry spaghetti.
Chad performed a neat card routine that combined several
effects. This is one of those things where you don't have to do what he did, but look at how he
combined several effects into a nice, flowing routine.
You need to see his Card from the
Wall. It is visually stunning. It looks so great, you will be scratching your head trying to figure
out how you can add a bit of card manipulation in your act ... just to do Card from Wall.
I
really enjoyed Chad's personality, and his decision to offer something to a wide-range of magicians.
