I don't know that much about Smagic but this trick/gimmick is really bad. It's all DIY. It comes
in a CD case but no CD...just download info which is ok but kinda funny to ship the materials in a
CD case. Moving along...the materials provided don't match the color of the case. Took me 2 hours
to construct and another thirty-forty minutes to tweek. In my humble opinion and again this is my
humble opinion I would never use this for public demonstration. It's terrible and it would be a
dis-service to my audience. I don't mind arts and crafts but this one wasn't worth my time or
money. Sorry Smagic...try again and please put out something that we magicians can actually use.
Maybe next time actually make the gimmick instead. SWITCHBOX by Mickael Chatelain is better in my
opinion. Just my thoughts. Magic On Everyone.
You've said this is bad, really bad, a number of times, but you haven't really said why (aside from having to tediously make a gimmick, and regarding packaging and video). So is it an angle issue, or is it too easily visible to audience? What if the gimmick is made really well? Maybe yours didn't turn out great?
Any additional details would be helpful, as the demo looks fantastic and very visual.
Thanks.
In the buyers defense, 99% of smagics products are horrible anyway and they need to work harder on their stuff before rushing it to be sold! Smagic just wants to make a quick buck on poor quality products and that’s sad!
I have to agree with you that this product is as you describe. However, to be fair, I have to point out that the method itself is one that I personally have not seen before. Maybe this particular use of this method may not be the best use. It would be interesting to see someone find a more undetectable and pre constructed use of this method. But yeah, I too agree that the product as is does not delight me either.
