This is, by far, my favorite version of the Magic Square, and I have tried many methods. No need to
memorize and it works every time! On top of that, the dry-erase board really does fit neatly into
an inside suit jacket pocket, hence the “Executive” grid. I prefer to use this with a “Psypher Pro”
pad to secretly obtain their chosen number. My only suggestion, and this is NOT a criticism, is
that I think they should release this method as a pad as well. Then you would be able to give the
sheet to the spectator as a souvenir at the end. They would be able to review the math later on
their own and share it with others. Don’t worry about the algebraic border - the math is nonsense
and they’ll never pick up on the code. Finally, McCaig/Volpe method of “adjusting” the results to
allow for the size of the chosen number is terrific. And it can be used to vary the results even if
two people had chosen similar, OR EVEN THE SAME, number. Not that you would be likely to perform
this for multiple people in a group, but you could!
One final comment - I find the border
code to be clear and easy to read without having to use reading glasses! A plus! Highly
recommended!
