I don't know about you but I miss playing with straws at restaurants. When I was a kid paper
wrappers on straws were not tight on the straw. The efficiency craze in manufacturing has made straw
wrappers so tight you can hardly get them off the straw.
In the old days you could tear off
the tip of a straw's paper wrapper, insert the exposed straw into your lips then blow, shooting the
wrapper across the room!
I also remember squishing all the paper to the very end of a
straw before removing it. If you used your straw to add a drop of water to the wadded paper you
could make it come alive and wiggle like a worm!
I haven't found a fun use for the modern
paper wrappers on straws for years. Until now. And for a limited time only, since some areas are
banning plastic straws...
