I pre-ordered this a bit ago and it finally came in the other day. I was excited to start working on
it and added it to my Glitch Routine.
The device:
Here is the start of the problems.
First off, everything about it felt cheap. The design of the packaging seemed like an
afterthought.
Secondly. The Gimmick, as creative as it is, also feels cheaply and poorly
made. When using it, you can hear pieces moving around that I don't think should be moving. does not
feel like it will last too many actual performances. Also, your Marker may arrive Dry, so You’ll
have to replace the Tip and such upon receiving.
The video:
The first performance
style that appears in the trailer is not the main routine. You are not even able to perform it
unless you order the appropriate materials for it. It would have been better if they sent black dots
with the gimmicks. You don’t see the real Routine until the end. Which based on the common person.
(if they watch the trailer all the way through) will assume the first performance to be the main
one. Not the end routine.
The video you get with the Effect is terribly done. I understand that
sacrifices in quality must be made for file size, but in this day and age, there is no excuse for
the quality of video that is given. The sound constantly changes and is poorly edited, making it a
pain on the ears to listen to. The editing id armature at best.
The effect/performance itself:
I will give props here as the design is very clever. That being said. This is not a practical
trick. Let me repeat that. THIS IS NOT A PRACTICAL TRICK! This is the kind of trick that you preset,
get ready to show the trick than ditch it. Not a worker, but more of a one-off. Best used for
Instagram or other social media platforms. While performing the “Standard Routine” if not careful,
you could lose the main device that allows the trick to work. Not to mention the handling is so
awkward that its best to only perform for one person at a time. If not you risk revealing the odd
situation, you’re in while performing it. Not a 360 Degree trick. Severe angle issues.
I won’t
tell you to not buy this, but I will warn you that the effect does require a decent amount of
Choreography to perform adequately at best. Do not expect to be able to perform this out of the box,
or even after watching the video. This is the kind of trick that If you want to perform it
seriously, you will have to fail a lot until your mind designs the correct patterns to execute
deceptively.
Overall, I would have paid more for a better quality product. In every way
shape and form, the trick feels cheaper than its price tag.
