I really like the Ring Flight effect. For what's available on the market right now, $35 for this is probably the best it's going to get. It's somewhat cheaply made, but it does the job and holds up well. This is a great, more traditional alternative if you don't like the car keyfob flights. I just personally feel they look pretty fake and will only garner suspicion from laymen, as that's where all the heat is and they know what car keys look like. The reel is made of strong steel, relatively quiet and very fast. There's also an external button-up pocket on the other side of the zip-up pouch. If you want to do this effect and don't want to break the bank and/or wait until a better device comes out, I'd go for it this!
