This trick is two things at the same time. First, not only one of the best montes around, but some
of the best magic ever. It is also difficult to master.
I performed this one yesterday on
my girlfriend who is usually half-convinced about the punch of most effects. This one made her frown
in astonishment 4 or 5 times and she didn't have a clue how I did it. "The move" that everybody is
talking about was undetectable to her even after a repeat. So only after performing it did I know: I
have someting special here. BEFORE performing it I thought oh boy, this is never gonna work. I even
thought the instructions were wrong where they weren't.
The only reason why I only gave it
4 stars is still because of the instructions that come with it. I am not even talking about the
video, after all: it is what it is. But the written instructions must have been written by one of
the most un-creative minds in magic, they give you the moves and their order and that's it (which
under normal circumstances should be good enough).
All that without using spaces or
paragraphs and since - when you break it down - there are about 20 different little moves and
actions that have to flow into each other this is like reading some sort of computer language. (The
D3 goes here, the Ace goes there....)
So please!!!:
Just throw in another piece of
paper and use lots of paragraphs, will you? Otherwise, while fiddling with the cards, one always
loses track of what one is doing. It took me around 6 hours to master this, constantly fooling
myself in the process. It should be possible with decent instructions to bring this down to 2 or
less. The handling itself is extremely easy and can be mastered by a complete beginner. I took off
two stars only for that, the instructions are a desaster. I recommend to everybody buying it typing
them into your own computer and adding lots of paragraphs. It will still save you lots of time.
