How much for a short PDF? Not enough. This is solid gold.
Four spectators think of
different symbols or images. They each draw their image on the back of a business card. The cards
are mixed face down and held by a volunteer. The volunteer hands you a card. You study it and (using
your super-power) hand it to the person who thought of it. Then you do it again and again. One card
is left face down and held by the volunteer. Without touching the card you duplicate the image.
I am so excited to start working on this routine. It's a fast-paced mentalism routine that
is great for walk-around.
Pros:
+ Use any four business cards. No prep.
+
Spectators can keep the cards. There is nothing to find, except your contact details.
+
Motivated reason to give your business card out at events.
+ Highly interactive. You read four
minds in minutes.
+ Very flexible. A blank canvas for your original presentation.
+ can
perform it almost surrounded - not 100% angle-proof but very safe.
+ nothing too difficult - a
basic sleight and it can and should be done sloppy.
Cons:
- to speed the procedural
phase up, you'd want to hand out 4 pens ... and the idea of carrying 3 extra pens is a drawback for
my pock management.
- you need good vision and decent light so you can quickly gather
information.
- the basic sleight is NOT TAUGHT in the PDF. Yes, it's published in a hundred
places and there are free tutorials on YouTube - but it is missing details on the essential sleight.
