It would be difficult for those not well versed in beginner card sleights, such as the Elmsley Count, for example.

The Elmsley count is the first sleight you learn as a noob,.....so not sure what you're talking about. This trick has a ton of beautiful visual changes and the ending makes perfect sense. If your specs are grabbing for your cards you are doing something wrong.
