Craig's effects are typically more than a one trick pony and this project is no different. The
quality of the deck is outstanding and he teaches 14 tricks via video instruction. All of these
tricks are workers, but I was especially drawn to:
- Shuffleboard
- Coin match
-
Turner's OOTW
- Hero sandwich
So far I've only performed my favourite effect,
Shuffleboard for people but get great reactions from them.
The fact that the deck is more
a utility device rather than just a deck that can only be used for one performance is the key reason
I'm thinking about making this part of my EDC.
The only downside, if you can call it that,
is that so far most of my spectators keep interrupting the effect to read the character details on
the cards - haha. It might require some more audience management to minimise this disruption and/or
find ways to accommodate for their curiosity in other ways.
I personally don't play D&D or
similar games but instead my patter focuses on storytelling, improvisation, creative writing, gift
from a friend, or my children.
Craig is a top notch creator who continues to refine his
magic development process and this instructional was possibly his easiest to watch as he stressed
the importance of not learning all of the effects at once but doing so gradually. His instruction
was also clear, concise and entertaining. Well done Craig on yet another stellar release!!
