This is my second T&R card trick. I bought Torched & Restored last year which is also an excellent
effect but takes a LOT of set up (one time only for a pack of cards) and Torched is not impromptu.
TORN is impromptu and is brilliant because each piece is restored one at a time right in front of
the spectator's eyes and the card can be signed first!
My only comment is that it is VERY
angle sensitive and requires (and deserves) a lot of practice. I once saw Guy Hollingworth do his
T&R - which was phenomenal - at a Convention and I was sideways on, just a few feet away and I still
couldn't see how he did it. There's no way That I can see that you'd be able to have a spectator
view this trick other than being right head-on in front of you - no sideways angle or the trick will
be exposed.
That said, this is a trick I will definitely use and I think it is as close to
visual magic as you're gonna get with a pack of cards!
