GREAT ILLUSION...but the supplied cards are not so great. Report this review

I bought this card effect recently at my local magic shop. I saw the trick performed here, on Penguin's website, and thought it would be an awesome trick! I am still using the instructions to learn this effect because it does require quite a few "turns", and not so difficult moves, but it does need hours of good practice before performing it for people. As with the others here who reported that the cards were a bit warped and "plastic looking", so were mine. And, again, I bought mine at my local magic store! So it's the person (David Solomon??), or whoever is supplying the cards for this effect, who is using these "cheaply" made cards. Only ONE is using a Bicycle design for the back, but who knows where the other cards come from. That's why it lost one star with me because of the quality of the cards. I'm going to try and find some actual Bicycle cards that can take the place of the other gimmicked ones, and use them. Then I will feel more comfortable performing this effect. But overall, the illusion is GREAT!
