There are a lot of reasons to like this effect. It's very visual and very different. Unlike most
card tricks, your spectators will have no idea where you're going or what's about to happen. The
surprise element is just fantastic.
That said, it's not really a trick that will "fool"
people. Given time to reflect, they will understand what they saw. But the initial surprise and
the reactions are excellent.
It's relatively easy to perform. The only moves you need to
concern yourself with are holding a break and doing a double undercut. You also need to be careful
with your angles and handling at a couple of points, so as not to flash anything prematurely (no pun
intended).
The other thing you're going to want to do is take the time to pretreat your
cards to make them look more authentic. Don't be lazy like Jay. You WANT the spectators to pick up
the cards and look at them afterwards, so you want the burns to look as real as possible,
