to be honest, i think both of these are very clever tricks, but may be impractical for the average magician. if you are uncomfortable with having to hide your hand, or unaturally keep it in your pocket for different lengths of time, and if you may not like verbal forces, perhaps you wouldn't appreciate these tricks.
with that said, they are both powerful and clever tricks that will stun the audience. i recommend these for serious mentalists.
