I expected higher quality from Tango.
Two big problems for the discerning coin worker.
During the expanding process, I have heard that downward force causes the expansion. When you
look at the shell Eisenhower's head is quite "flat". Compared to a regular coin where the profile is
very pronounced. They appear quite different. Also the "shine" does not match any of my regular
coins. Again, very different. Will lay people notice? Probably not?? but I expected better from
Tango.
I would like to compare it to the "Johnson" product. I have several Johnson half dollar
shells which are perfect matches to the real thing.I can't speak of the dollar shell because I have
not seen it. If these things matter to you...stay away.
Is this strange thing you say, I have almost all the tricks of the Tango
except the expanded shell Isenhower, but if I compare the expanded shell half dollar I have to say that the shell of the Tango is better of the Jhonson.
