Like most people, this demo absolutely baffled me. I could hardly wait till this baby arrived at my
doorstep. When I opened the package, however, I was instantly frustrated. This trick CAN'T be done
close-up. And the worst part is that I have seen similar gimmicks and they are much, much less
obvious. For $40 this is a rip-off. The harsh lighting of the demo video was an intentional
deception to the magic community. Not impressed.
I can't believe you are this disappointed! This can so be done up close. If you watch how Mickael handles the gimmick, it's always either covered by the hole card or kept moving when showing the "flap card" gag.
I personally think this effect is genius! Copperfield also agrees which says a ton!
Maybe you don't have what it takes to be a magician ;)
