Hi everyone! I have been doing magic for more years than I care to admit. I have had this effect
since it was first offered to the magic fraternity. I do it all the time. This is a true
performance piece as written. That being said, you are not required nor does Jeff want you to copy
verbatim his routines. If this routine is a bit much for your needs by all means change it. It is
after all as I stated earlier a "Performance" piece. A routine meant to be a centerpiece. A full
blown piece of theatre. Thus my title. Drama people. Build some drama into this piece even if you
are going to make it a short bit of theatre. A quick rising card routine. Make the magic moment
count. All of us that perform this on a regular basis can tell you over and over again how great
this effect is, but until YOU actually perform this with some real "Drama" built into YOUR
performance you just will not understand how POWERFUL this effect really can be.
As far as the
"gimmick" breaking, well it happens. Deal with it. I personally have never had it happen. I
usually lose mine because I forget that I have mine on me. Those of you that have this will know
what i mean. When you get this just make up about 15 or 20 gimmicks and store them on a playing
card and sandwich that card between 2 other cards to protect the gimmicks and place them in a card
wallet. Then you will have them whenever you need them. Hope this helps. This is really a
fantastic effect and you might check out the many different presentation on YouTube for other ideas
for variations on performance themes as well as Magic Cafe. Thanks for listening.
