It's generally pretty obvious how long someone has practiced a move when they release a video of it.
With David's Cull, it's apparently that David Gonzalez has put a HUGE amount of work into making it
look GREAT.
I also have to give props to the camera crew. I have never had an easier time
learning a move than from this DVD. It's exhaustive, but not exhausting. The angles are great and it
shows you exactly what you need to see as you're learning. It's not an easy move, but the learning
is facilitated to be as easy as possible.
The only thing I have to say is that I wish Roger
Crosthwaite was credited. His Rapid Cull (as published in Roger's Thesaurus) is pretty similar in
both performance and methodology. Gonzalez has obviously added some subtlety and some very helpful
tips, but it would have been nice to see a credit there.
Either way, it a great move that I
think a lot of people will get use out of.
