after I opened the bag, the SECOND I looked at the postcard I knew exactly what the secret was. I hadn't read the instructions, nor did I know anything about the trick, and I am fairly new to magic, but trust me, the gimmick is so ridiculously obvious that there is no way anyone could be fooled by it. Was this ever tested? And if so, on whom?

If you are wondering what the problem is, just look at this passage from the blurb above: "The spectator thinks of any one of the seemingly dozens of celebrities pictured." Lemme just just say that one of the words (it starts with "S" and ends with "Y") does not describe the gimmick at all.

Also, the postcard is very flimsy and cheaply produced, the colors are off, and it looks overall depressing.

There is just no way I can think of where this trick could be usable.
