The effect is a pain in the rear door to set up, but that is a one-time thing only. Once you
prepared a copy of the magazine you can't really transfer the gimmick to a different one, so your
copy will become increasingly old after a while. People are very unlikely to notice, though. These
two aspects are the only reasons why I gave this effect 4 starts instead of 5.
The effect
itself is super-fun to perform, as asking the questions and interacting with the spectator in that
phase is very entertaining for everyone (you, the spectator, the audience). If you play it well you
have a 10 minutes routine that is fun through and through, and not just a preparation for the big
surprise at the end.
No sleights, no moves, no forces, completely self-working, always
spot on in its predictions, and gets strong reactions. Very nice effect; I personally love it! I
actually like it so much that I am planning to order 2 extra copies, set them up on different issues
of Cosmo, and offer a "free choice" among three issues to the spectators. This would also justify
the fact that some issues are older than others.
