I've always loved the Bill Switch plot. Its Perfect for walk around because generally a bill is
borrowed, and switched for a larger bill, Which is every magicians most requested effect " can you
change my $1 to a $20?". This is all good and well but has always seemed funny to me as in reality i
find it hard to believe that the spectator ACTUALLY believes that the bill has changed, and instead
just feels the magician with his skill must have switched the bill when they weren't looking… and
for that reason, I've been using the effect " Four Quarters" for the past year or so( since its
release) it changes the view from a bill switch, using a mismade bill. I feel spectators find this
to be more believable because the bill still is what they handed the magician, just all jumbled
around.
Illegal Tender has now made its way into my working routine(: The
Motivation for the effect is perfect. you show a blank piece of paper and print on it, Slowly and
Visually. it couldn't get any better. I feel this Triumphs over past bill Switches because of the
Visual Aspect added to the effect. Not only is it extremely visual, But what impressed me the most
was how the Bill Provided actually sounds like a Bill when pulled taught. A perfect Subtle
convincer. i recommend this to anyone looking to learn a new visual piece of money magic!!!
