When I received the item, my suspicion was that (without exposing too much of the method) the
mechanical wear of the plastic would last about 8 weeks before it breaks the bend (given it is quite
hard foil, I am sure there are more flexible material options if one is willing to manufacture a
quality product).
Turns out, I was way too optimistic. After just two weeks and less than
20 performances, the bend is completely teared and broken.
Which would be fine in a China
ripoff for 3 bucks, but at this price tag I was sort of hoping for a utility device that would last
me a while.
I thought I was the only one with just bad luck, but at least some other
reviewers and commenters appear to have experienced the same issues. And I feel there are more of
us.
Somehow it seems strange that a product like this should not have been prototyped and
tested extensively for wear and tear before rolling it out.
keliopenshaw, keep us updated
whether there is any hope in having the thing replaced. And Penguin, let us know when you put out a
version 1.2 of the wallet with a different and more thoroughly tested choice of materials.
