Wonderful effect. For the right situations (angle sensitive) this is mind-blowing, visual magic. As
a full-time pro I am always on the look out for VISUAL magic - sometimes I do very noisy cocktail
parties. The Rising can be done with or without patter. Very versatile. Also - it's a simple effect
- I work for international audiences that don't speak English here in NYC - so again, this visual
gem is perfect.
Next - it's a card trick that doesn't need a table. Once you start working
walk-around shows you'll realize how useless table top magic is. And no, I won't schlep a table
around a room. Most clubs are too tight, multi-level, etc.
On the downside, I can't do
this for a large / semi-surrounded group. But - it's a killer secret weapon to have ready for when
the time is right. Performing for 2-4 people who are standing up? Perfect. Entertaining a few people
at a cocktail table - yep, this will knock-em dead.
Easy enough method.
