Sometimes I get a Penguin lecture and put it up on my computer and listen while I'm working on other
things.
I tried doing that with this lecture and found myself continually having to stop
what I was doing and give it my undivided attention.
It's a little light on tricks, but to
be honest I wish more lectures were like that. You can open any half decent magic book written in
the last 130 years and you'll have more than enough tricks to last you a lifetime.
What
magicians need to focus on is how to take the tricks they know (or throw out some :) ) and put them
together and do them in a way that is deceptive or entertaining.
That being said, this is
one of my favorite lectures and the interview and stories are fascinating. Some of her touches on
working with kids are great!
For the more technical side this lecture has some good cups &
balls moves, cool deck switches and more.
I highly recommend this lecture!
