I received this as a free promo item from Penguin. Before opening the package, I watched the
complete instructional video. Now, I wish I could return it. Unopened.
For some this may be the
Holy Grail. But for most, this can't hold a candle to Matt Mello's "Dark Arts," which unlike Steam
2.0 CAN be repeated without giving away the whole trick, DOESN'T require special (costly) cards,
envelopes, pen and handling. Far easier to do, far less likely to fail and it costs only $10! It's
the same trick, with the same (apparently) components and same results!
No, Steam 2.0 is only a
shadow of Dark Arts, and not nearly as much carefree fun to do. I gave it two stars for the unique
"chemistry" it uses.
I don't know if it's wrong or right but I think that there are too many promos that do NOT give honest reviews. For example, I have been working Mileos Billeous "prediction" routine. I carefully go thru all of the choices:
1. house
2. sun
3. tree
4. car
5. plane
6. etc.
You wouldn't believe how many times "swirl" comes up. "Swirl" is NOT even on the list.
Please, Mr. Paul Harris, don't produce promo videos that "leave something out." Be honest with us. We realize that we, the general magic buying public are gullible if not downright pathetic but you, your high and mighty poohbah, owe us an effort not to scam us with lies...
