I agree with a lot of what has been said already. Greg Wilson's pickpocket routine is excellent, a
knockout, as you'd expect. (Greg also has a Penguin downloadable pickpocket routine doesn't use a
gimmicked wallet or require that the spectator be wearing a jacket. While requiring a bit more
practice to pull off, you might like it better.) I kind of knew how the trick worked, but I was a
little surprised to see that the wallet, though beautifully crafted by Alan Wong, again as you'd
expect, is a slightly modified version of a classic gimmicked wallet. I was expecting something a
wee bit more sophisticated, but that's OK. The wallet works well.
But I will knock this
down a star for not providing the credit cards that you need. (The faux passport isn't convincing
close up, but it is OK for parlor or stage.) By comparison, the Visa Cabaret wallet comes with
credit cards that won't fool anyone but serve as decent props for the trick. Here, you have to go
out and find/get/buy your own--and then do some arts and crafts--before you can practice the
routine. That's a pain.
Overall, this has the potential to be a real crowd pleaser. If
only it had included everything that you need...
