It is a neat little trick but it is tooo expensive. It's hard not to get black over yourself and to
get it cleanly onto the spec without double or smearing. Also there isn't much in terms of why you
are doing this trick on the tutorial. Why are you bringing out a marker and having them hold their
hands out? The way it is presented and taught in the instructions people easily and I mine EASILY
figure it out. I am working on finding a small sharpie routine to do along with this to make it more
usable. Like a vanish reappear etc and throw this in as part of it. For the price this should be in
the video presentations and teachings but as is this falls short.
This could have been much
much better.
You are thinking too much like a magician. There isn't anyreason to explain why you have a sharpie. As soon as you start to explain the why it becomes suspect. I have performed this several times since buying this effect. It kills everytime. There isn't any need to bring attention to the marker. Yes it does take a bit of work to iron out the problem of getting ink on yourself where you do not want it. But it isn't that hard to get rid of that problem.
Chris Ramsey has a cool little sharpie routine on his YouTube page. Might work well before this trick
The last thing I want with a trick I buy is the frame for the effect. You say that they give no reason for why you are doing the trick. Of course not, that is your job to come up with a compelling reason. If you only perform an effect with the scripting and frame that the creator sells it with, you will be a generic magician. Be creative! One presentation idea popped into my head while writing this. Brainstorming is fun.
The tutorial is weak; it doesn\'t give much detail.
