this is a great trick well taught by scott ,however i feel that the card stock is too thick because
if you try to riffle the whole packet it is so stiff that you are flat out seeing the stickman ,the
only way i could do it is to split the packet in half and do the riffle with the top half first then
pick up the bottom half and finish the effect ,perhaps penquin can rework this effect for a future
release ,thats the reason for 4 stars. errol
Glad you like it....here is a little hint...try beveling the stack a lot to get a cleaner animation as your riffle the stack. You can see in the screen cap for the trick I have the pack really beveled.
Thanks!!!
I also found that by beveling the deck, you want to lower it so when you flip through the animation that the thumb holding the top packet portion is level with the floor. From the spectators angle, they are viewing the animation at a 45 degree angle plane. There are key moments within the animation where you stop to point out what stickman Scott is doing. At those moments it may help you as it helps me to reposition my fingers for a better grip at those key stops. Hope this helps.
I think it would be nice to provide us with files that can be printed off onto any card stock we want. Of course, the most common file that will be printed off the most, would be the final revelation card... but having the ability to reprint the entire stack of cards will come in handy many performances down the road when the stack becomes dirty or needs to be replaced. Just an idea...
