I was reluctant to buy this.
And I am reluctant to post this review.
I was reluctant to
buy because I am quite familiar with many of the memory systems out there and reading between the
lines I was prepared for a re-hash of existing methods.
I am reluctant to post because my
experience may not reflect yours so with that caveat...
First: this *is* a rehash of old
methods-- but a refreshing and updated one. It brings some old techniques and invites you to look at
them with 21st Century eyes.
Second: If you are locked in your room unaware of the world
around you-- this will be harder for you. If you love culture-- particularly popular culture-- if
you're passionate about the things you love-- this will be a breeze. YMMV.
Third: This
system is all about the "Pre-memory" work. Ignore them when they say there's no memorization needed.
There is-- but much of it is put on on the way. And if you take the time to do the work up front--
it is really very easy to do the work when it comes time to memorizing your stack. They have
provided a number of examples that are really useful and ready to use. I have adapted a couple and
invented a couple of my own. This will make sense when you read it.
Fourth: Ignore the 60
min, 30 min talk. Sure I suppose it's possible but if you're doing the necessary work it'll take
longer-- not days longer... but longer.
Fifth: There will remain-- after you memorize your
deck order-- a great deal of time before you'll be able to use it for anything more than a
demonstration of your ability to memorize a deck. To use it, say, in an effect that you're required
to know what the 12 card after the 23 card is... The system they provide-- an revised memory
palace-- works just as it should-- but there will still be work needed to know instantly the
position number of every card...
Sixth: I have memorized my Tom Crosbie stack in less than
24 hours of purchasing this... only a couple hours of concentrated work and I haven't watched a
single video yet. The PDF is more than necessary. I haven't read the effects yet but I can say, as
an owner of the Dominic Obrien system, a couple Harry Lorayne books, and the Memory Arts pdf. I am
very happy with my purchase.
This is a system that will serve magicians, mentalists,
mnemologists well.
15 of 15 magicians found this helpful.
The PDF was okay to read but there was no video with it.
I only purchased this project because a friend of mine was vaguely involved (Heri with his ACAAN),
and I wanted to support him, in a way.
And then, I looked at it, and had a great surprise :
This just works!
I spent an evening to do the necessary prep work, and learn one sequence of
informations. It could have been quicker, but I wanted to have solid foundations.
And then, it
only took me 1 hour to learn the whole stack.
I still have it now, and I really believe there is
no way I can forget it.
Bravo Benoit and Mathieu for this great method
This methode will blow your mind!!!!
in only 2 hours you will have any stackcards forever locked
in mind
so easy and so powerfull !!!! Jump on the occasion
these are effective techniques and above all achievable.
thank you Benoit
The best way to learn a rosary in a very short time and never forget it again. I tried two others
not as efficient ... mnemonica in less than a week and for life!
Excellent system, but don't believe the hype you won't be doing Mem deck stuff tonight (obviously
there will be the odd exception). There's a lot of prework that needs to be done.
If you manage
to fly through this, then you're laughing, for those of us that are less imaginative it might take a
while to get your list up.
Once you have it, this system will totally work.
Thoroughly
recommend
If you are as old as I am (unlikely), the references are rather meaningless. I understand I can
create my own, but that really reduces the usefulness of the purchase.
Also, I'm no an of
embedded video. It is much more useful to me as a standalone. I could probably figure out a way to
capture the Vimeo files, but not really worth it.
I'm leaving the review as 5 Star as I
don't want to screw up a rating for things that may well be specific to me.
Everything is in the title! Simply the best method to memorize a deck of cards!
