Peter Turner is clearly very talented and has studied a huge amount of mentalism. I was going to buy
his Freeform Mentalism but I opted to buy this since it was cheaper and would give me a gauge on his
"tricks".
Although with all that said, I feel extremely disappointed in this purchase.
Peter rambles and mumbles a lot. Extremely long winded answers that give you little to know
explanation. He talks in circles and no actual knowledge to preform anything. I get the same feeling
when I talk to any bs-er.
I am shocked to see so many great reviews on all his teachings.
I feel people rate his gifted abilities rather than his actual teachings. You will not be able to
preform anything from listening to his lecture. His entire explanations are to "be bold" (aka just
guess and get lucky). Ridiculous! Do not buy!

I like Peter Turner and his thinking, but I felt I got shorted with this lecture. I've been doing
mentalism since I was 8 years old but one of the biggest turnoffs for me is going WAY, WAY, WAY too
deep into theory. It is prevalent at Mindvention conventions. I can see why some magicians say
mentalism is boring, but that's not necessarily true. In this lecture we only got 3 effects in 3
hours? Yikes. I absolutely adore Peter Turner and his thinking behind mentalism, but with this
lecture I feel I didn't get enough. Would've loved to see more effects.

Peter Turner demonstrates in my opinion what real mind reading should look like. This lecture is
perfect for anyone who wants to be a better performer and learn how to create miracles.
I
cannot understand why a couple of people in this review section think there was only a couple of
effects shared. I watched the lecture (twice now) and I will list a few things I got out of it.
Remote viewing (landscape divination)
Emotional acaan
Linguistic acaan
Pin
divination
Name divination
Off set work and tie in
Star sign divination
How to be
bold and achieve miracles
become a legend
Lipping (guess a name/ number billetless)
How
to improve presentation and be creative
How to inspire people and make presentations count
A
peek for the billet worker and how to use it as a switching device for book tests
Force a
playing card (or anything that goes up in 1's (I.E a time)
How to be restrictive without seeming
it and make your work psychologically stronger
How to read someone
How to guess someones
date of birth
There was much more than that, I have to go back and watch it again. If you
are just looking for trick, method, trick method this is not for you. If you want to take your
performance to a new level, learn some amazing material and subtleties this is most certainly for
you.
Keep doing what you are doing sir!
There are one effect pdfs that cost a lot
more than this, the material in here is gold! First 10 mins alone was worth the price!

Peter Turner is bold. I have to give him that.
I know some very bold guys who, without
being mentalists or magicians or anything, can pull out miracles just by being good observers,
taking chances and saying crazy things out loud about people they meet as they come up to their
minds.
They will miss a lot, sure (like Peter Turner here) but when they hit... well, they
will be addressed as gurus.
Mentalism might be many things, but one of the things I believe
it's not is what most of the mentalists today think it is: doing a huge amount pre-show, and then
taking bold guesses about all they didn't do pre-show about.
Add to that the accent, the
super fast speed talking, the slang, the abbreviations, and the interventions of the host (who is
not even paying attention to the lecture, asks questions about things that are not related to what's
actually happening and on top of that speaks about his own stuff) and you have $ 29.99.- to throw in
the trash can.
For a human being, or an artist, or a mentalist to become a legend, there is
a formula that has to come into place: there has to be no internet available, there has to be no
video or audio recording of the situation, and hundreds of years of spreading the word and
amplifying the story have to go by.
There is no way to become a legend with this lecture,
or this material.

I've been attending these lectures since Paul Draper did his and this is hands down the best bang
for your buck IF and here is the big IF...You take the time and care to listen. A reviewer below was
irritated by a lack of routines, but seriously if you can't pull twenty or thirty unique ideas from
this lecture then you're just being lazy!
Pete delivers everything he promised and much
much more, he gives the listeners an insightful look into his creative process, a tool belt of bold
deceptions, thoughts on creating legends and genuine moments of astonishment! In all honesty, what
the hell more could you want from a lecture?! If you're looking for the best bang for your buck I've
seen in a long time then this is for you!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending Pete’s lecture in person. I will try to keep the “hype”
to a minimum, but I witnessed some incredible moments, so that could be difficult. I arrived early
so I could have some time to meet Pete and get to know some of the other lecture attendees. From
the get go Pete kept contact to a minimum and only wanted know my first name and nothing else.
While he performed a few effects for us, he didn’t really interact with me or any of the other
attendees. As a result all of the performances during the lecture where legit, and I (along with
everyone else in attendance) were in awe during Pete’s performances!
If your goal is to
improve your mentalism, your magic, your performance of art I whole-heartedly recommend this
lecture.
Pete’s lecture was one of the best in terms of value to improving my performance
and providing me with a bounty of food for thought. I would say that Pete’s lecture leaned towards
the theory side (which I love), and the effects seemed to highlight the theory. But he does share
effects and goes in depth while explaining. He even managed (through his explanation and discussion
of techniques) to instill me with the confidence to start utilizing bold techniques in my
performances. I had never had the opportunity to experience these techniques live and I am not
sure how the power of them translated while watching at home, but Pete has helped me understand
their value and effectiveness.
Pete discussed a wide variety of theory including the power
and necessity of implication, observation skills, infusing your actions with credibility,
confirmation principle, heat displacement, emotional relevance, creating a legend, the importance of
being yourself and so much more. As far as effects, he performed an ACAAN, predictions, mind
reading, a bit of reading, several forces, many subtleties, and more.
Three things really
stood out for me:
1) Pete has a passion for our art and joy of performing that permeates
everything he does.
2) Our art deserves respect and I should perform as such (hard to do
this point justice, but Pete does)
3) Take chances and I can create miracles
Really
the highest praise I can give Pete is I felt a true sense of wonder while experiencing his
performances last night and he is a genuine gentleman that I would share a beer with any day of the
week.
Enjoy the lecture!

Just as several other reviewers have pointed out, the combination of the low audio quality, Peter's
pronunciation of words (when you think he's talking about pins or pens, he's talking about paint),
and his fast talking make this unlistenable.
Just a tip, if you're playing this in VLC
media player, click on Equalizer button (or go to Tools, then Effects/Filters) and enable the audio
graphic equalizer. Then turn down the bass (turn down the 60 Hz lever). Or use the Flat
preset...that's also a little helpful.
Additionally, click Playback, then playback speed,
and turn down the speed to .80x. This makes it so you can understand about half of what he's
saying.

The material is without question marvelous. Unfortunately, for me, the explanations were a waste of
time since I could barely make out what Peter was talking about due to his British dialect. Having a
hearing loss certainly adds to the unintelligibility of this lecture, but I must promise myself to
never again download a lecture that I should have realized from the get go was going to be difficult
to understand.
I am still searching for a reference to a principle he mentions in the first
effect that he does. He mentions Annemanns Practical Mental Effects (according to him) and he names
the principle (sounds like Shler Haswin principle). Damned if I could understand what he said nor
could I find anything close to it in the books "effects" or "magic". Aside from this, the rate at
which he explains things makes it even more difficult to understand. I'm happy that the pdf of
"Isabella's Star" is included as most reviews say that it alone is worth the price of the lecture.
At least for me, this will have to be the saving grace.

Sorry,but.. if you have a bit of experience in magic, "creating miracles" with decks of cards all
being the same card - is just not very challenging. And when a Magician tells you "he has really not
had access to information, facebook etc., even his phone doesn´t work" - do you really believe him?
(I think you should try to fool your audience - Not the people buying your product because you say
you will teach them!). And "pre-show preparations" can be OK - but I had really hoped there would be
some stuff n´ tricks that I could actually USE ON stage, and Not because I had manipulated the
"volunteers" beforehand. (Which is fine, but then release a course called "How to prepare/manipulate
your audience beforehand",for people interested in that). This was a LOT of time for VERY little,
sorry to say.

After spending money on lecture after lecture ( thanks penguin!) This has got to be one of my
favorite lectures ever, live or online. There is a lot of hype around peter turner, and he
absolutely lives up to it, is has also got to be one of the most humble performer i have ever seen.
The lecture itself has about 6 great effects in it, and then there's Isabella's star, an
effect that will turn anyone from a mere mentalist to a ....well... STAR! This alone was worth the
price of the lecture, i would have paid triple the amount just for this PDF, actually i almost did,
i got so excited when i heard peter say that he was going to include it!
I will not talk
about the effects as im sure others already are, they are amazing, but what i took from this lecture
was a new way to perform, and an appreciation for our art, Peter talks to us as if we were in the
room, and you can feel it. He makes you realize how important our art form is, and what it means to
be not only a great mentalist, but a great human being.
