Hello boys and girls.
I have the french version buy on the website secret studio and I
know Julien who is a good guy, a true professionnal performer and one of the rares honest creator
that i know (credits, authorisations, etc.).
A switch, again ? Yes but one of my favorite
switch.
Julien is a good teacher, the video is well made and for this price you can't go
wrong (especially if you still don't have a switch technique in your arsenal).
What it is
so good with it ? The spectator can control his billet which is on the table or in his hand and the
spectator always see his billet even when you take it for a very short time with a perfect
justification (Julien uses a clairvoyance presentation but you can use a telepathy presentation with
a little imagination).

I was a full time professional magician for 30 years working cruise ships, comedy clubs colleges,
Disney etc. I was working a Hawaiian cruise on 9/11 and, when I got home, I got out of performing. I
had decided that was enough for me.
Over my time making a living with magic, I learned to
find effects that packed small but played big. Now, I am returning to magic with a focus on
mentalism but still focusing on packing small but playing yadda yadda yadda.
Julien has
some incredible touches, original thinking, well though out misdirection and delivers a knockout
punch with this idea. He'll try to convince you his English sucks but it is actually amazing! He
draws the viewer in with his personality and his teaching style kind of reminds me of Daryl.
Although I am not performing yet (20 years is a long time to not practice) I will master this
and use it as my opener. Mentalism, in my eyes, should be innocent, easy, fun and up lifting. Julien
nailed it. Just buy it already.

Julien has some great touches and ideas for the billet switch. I loved his open handed display and
the opening switch. A great piece of knowledge to have in your arsenal.

The switch/ technique is casual and beautifully deceptive.
Julien L has a great, unassuming
personality.
Well worth the price of admission!
One slight caveat (which isn't enough
to detract from my 5 star rating). The Stand-Up version of the effect does require the performer to
wear a jacket. This might not suit (no pun intended) some performers.

A drawing dupe at the table or standing.
He teaches EVERY DETAIL, including GOOD ACTING; then
shows a performance real-time, which he cheerfully admits was on a "bad night" -- so EVEN WHEN YOU
SCREW UP, YOU WILL SUCCEED!
JULIEN HAS THE KIND OF ENTHUSIASM AND ENERGY
-- AND
FRANKLY, A CAN-DO, GUNG-HO AMERICAN SPIRIT -- THAT'S BEEN MISSING IN AMERICAN MENTALISTS!
Merci Monsieur Losa!

Close-up business-card DRAWING DUPLICATION.
PEACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE two switches, follow
Julien's every direction, and you will have a drawing dupe that beats every other method and
presentation.
I am so tired of other very weak methods like dual reality and instant-stooges or
asking the spectator to "just put it in my wallet."
No more. Merci Julien!

I tried to think of my own but his moves and billet choreogra]hy, which have some antecedents, ARE
THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN. A TOAST TO YOU, JULIEN, OF PERRIER!

Allow me to disagree wholeheartedly with the anonymous buyer from England who wrote the previous
review. Julien's [S]Witch is different enough from Looch's switch, with which it shares only one
point: the fact that both billets are "merged" into one, which allows for showing the hand
apparently holding only a single billet. By the way, Colin McLeod also has a switch showing the same
feature.
But in all three cases, the choreography and the handling are different. Having tried
all three of them, I consider Julien's as the most practical by far (that, of course, is a personal
opinion and it can be challenged). But in any case, I think there is enough difference between all
three moves to consider them as independent items and to avoid starting a painful and sterile
discussion regarding the authorship of the concept.

Why one more switch when I already know so many (but use only a few)? Well, that's not just a
switch, it's a simpe but very effective routine Julien gives, the whole choregraphy.
And the
second move of the first switch... wow! Smooth, slick, brilliant!
Not much to do with Looch's
nice technique. Except the shape of the billets...
Julien's go WAY further.

Delivers on its promise by providing a highly deceptive billet switch that's easy to perform. It's
definitely a solid addition to any magician's toolkit.
The stand-up version is fine, but I
found the p**k to be less practical unless you have a very easy-to-see drawing and/or excellent
lighting and sharp vision. The demo showcased was a fumbling performance that felt suspicious rather
than seamless. It seems that a bit more thought and effort could have improved this aspect. Overall,
while the core switch is great, I would recommend caution if you're specifically looking for
effective p**ks.
